Independent Midwifery

If you engage me to be your midwife, I will provide;

Your care before the birth:

A minimum of 9 consultations, approximately one hour in duration. These consultations, which take place in your own home, or at The Dulwich Therapy Rooms give me the opportunity to assess and monitor your progress and offer you the chance to discuss any aspect of your pregnancy.

Consultations will be monthly until 32 weeks, fortnightly until 38 weeks and then weekly until the birth.

Your care during the birth:

For home births I will be with you from the onset of active labour all the way through to the birth of your baby and then until you are settled.

For hospital births once you are in active labour I will accompany you into any hospital and stay with you as your support birthing partner until the birth of your baby and then until you are settled on the ward.

Your care following the birth of your baby: 

Daily consultations for the first 7 days, 2 home visits in the second and third week, one in the fourth and fifth week and then, when everything is well, I will discharge you on day 42.

I am available at the end of the phone throughout your pregnancy and until I discharge you.
